Downstairs, the kitchen/dining room sits at the rear and comes with a dishwasher and washing machine, while the living room has a smart TV and iPod dock alongside that wood burner.Guests can walk to Alnwick Castle (5 minute walk), the film set for Hogwarts and home to the Duke of Northumberland. Alnwick Garden is equally close (5 minute walk), known for its water feature and treehouse restaurant. Cragside, a Victorian house with gardens and woodland, sits near Rothbury (around 25 minutes by car). Rothbury itself, with the River Coquet running through it, makes a good half-day out.
