Coble Cottage is a stone cottage set in the grounds of Beadnell House in Northumberland, on the North East coast. It sits in a tranquil spot within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just a mile from the sand at Beadnell Bay. Seahouses lies two miles off, with a working harbour and boat trips out to the Farne Islands for seal and puffin spotting. Bamburgh, home to its historic castle, is five and a half miles away and has good seafood restaurants. A coastal path runs from Beadnell along this stretch, handy for walking between villages without needing the car.

Downstairs there's a double bedroom with patio doors onto the courtyard, plus a fully tiled shower room. Upstairs holds a second double and a twin room, sharing a bathroom with a bath, shower over and a rustic stable-style door. The kitchen-dining room has oak flooring and a square dining table, while the lounge has underfloor heating, a leather corner sofa and wide patio doors out to the courtyard. A flask, picnicware and coolbox are supplied for days out on the beach or coastal path.

Farne Islands boat trips from Seahouses run seasonally for wildlife spotting (2 miles, 5 minutes). Bamburgh Castle overlooks the coast and welcomes visitors (5.5 miles, 15 minutes). Beadnell village itself has a pub and shop within walking distance. Alnwick Castle and Gardens make a good half-day trip from here too, being under 30 minutes by car.

Coble Cottage suits families or groups of up to six who want a coastal base with a proper garden space to come back to.
